The Lawndale/Wayside section of Houston is located just southeast of Downtown Houston and adjacent to Eastwood. Brays Bayou meanders through this quaint little community.
Over past few years, the area has gone through a bit of a revitalization as many home buyers have been priced out of areas such as the Heights. Two neighborhoods in particular have garnered quite a bit of interest, Lawndale and Idlywood. Both neighborhood are located adjacent to the Gus Wortham Golf Course, which was the location of the original Houston Country Club. With nicely updated homes in the area priced less than $200,000, this neighborhood is a great combination of near town location and affordability.
