Located in West Houston between Buffalo Bayou to the North, Westheimer to the South and the Sam Houston Toll Road to the East, this neighborhood offers a wonderful combination of family-oriented community with near town location. Not only is this neighborhood close to the city, but great new urban developments are moving close to it. The newly constructed City Centre, located at Memorial and the Sam Houston Toll Road, offers a “hip new Mecca” for upscale dining and shopping. Also, the area is conveniently located to two of Houston’s largest business districts, Westchase and the Energy Corridor.
Although construction in this area began in the middle of the 1960s, you can find homes throughout this area from each of the proceeding decades. With median home prices in the $270s, this area remains affordable. Subdivisions within Briarforest include Briargrove Park, Lakeside Estates (home of Lakeside Country Club), Ashford Hollow, Shadowbriar, April Village, and Village West.
